We don’t wake everyday with the motivation to achieve our goals its just a fact, life is forever throwing obstacles, diversions, distractions and temptations to lead us astray and it is human nature to do so.
The first step is to set your goals, be super specific about exactly what you want to achieve and know WHY you want it, WHY achieving this goal will make your life better, happier, more complete. You break it down into bit size steps that you can achieve on a daily or weekly basis. By breaking down a goal you make it acheivable
Motivation is what gets you started on working toward achieving this goal.
Determination is what helps you achieve your goal.
A question I get asked all the time is; How do i stay motivated?
The answer to this is some days you aren’t going to feel motivated, you instead have to be determined. Your determination is found in your WHY, why did you want this goal in the first place, why are you doing this, why will this make your life better? Remembering your why will be what drives you to continue to achieve the goals you have set for yourself and ignore the other distractions.
Some days the motivation will be there and that’s great but on the days when all you see are obstacles, diversions, distractions and temptations, you must go back to your WHY.
Whatever you set your mind to do you must find an inner determination that is stronger than waiting to become motivated by something, or someone else. People and things are unreliable; you must find it from within yourself.
